Lilies can really light up a garden, and the Ontario Regional Lily Society has planned an event near Stoney Creek that will give green thumbs a chance to purchase some unusual varieties to add to their own collection.
The organization has made arrangements to once again host its annual bulb sale, and the public is welcome to be a part of the event. The doors will open for shoppers at 1:00 pm sharp, but since the bulbs tend to sell out quickly, anyone who would like to browse through the largest possible selection as been advised to arrive well ahead of time.
Along with the sale, an auction has also been included in the agenda for the afternoon. According to the organizers of the event, many of the bulbs will be unusual and even rare, and they are not often seen in a typical garden centre or nursery. There will be cultivars for shade or sun, and some will even be scented.
Those who wish to make a purchase during the event can do so without having to pay tax on their items. Local Print shops will be able to supply signage, Packaging supplies and labels, planting guides and many other customized products for a function like this.
This opportunity for local bulb lovers to add to their personal collection will be held on October 14. The venue for the sale is located at 680 Plains Road West in Burlington.
