Stoney Creek area celebration to help fund cancer research
Stoney Creek residents who want to make a difference in the fight against cancer, and have fun doing so, may want to save the date for an evening of fun and fundraising that will be held this fall.
The celebration, which will be taking place in the Leander Boat Club, will raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. All of the proceeds will be donated to the cause, and tickets are $25.
The doors of the event will open for the guests at 7:30 pm, and when they arrive, they will be able to enjoy unlimited non-alcoholic beverages as well as a candy bar, chocolate fountain and cold and hot appetizers. A DJ will be spinning tunes, and there will also be live and silent auctions. A cash bar will be available, and door prize draws will be taking place as well.
This type of event can also help to raise public awareness about an issue while keeping people entertained. A poster printing company can create decor that includes oversize photos of cancer survivors along with their stories of survival, which can help to show the guests how their contributions will benefit others.
