Stoney Creek’s Battlefield House Museum and Park will be playing host to the community’s annual Apple Festival, which will feature something for people of all ages.
To help mark the autumn harvest season, there will be a variety of activities such as children’s crafts, games, wagon rides, music, pumpkin decorating, and an assortment of hands-on activities. The Stoney Creek Lions Club will also be serving a pancake breakfast.
Those who enjoy baking will have a chance to show off their skills during the annual apple pie bakeoff, with the judging to be performed by local celebrities. A company that produces Corporate Gifts can create items to be used as prizes in a contest such as this.
Starting at 11:30 am and throughout the day, there will be fall-themed foods to enjoy, including corn on the cob, hot dogs, and apple pie.
Along with these activities, there will be both musket and canon drills performed by costumed reenactors.
The Stoney Creek Apple festival will take place at Battlefield House Museum & Park, which is located at 77 King Street West on September 29. It will begin at 9:00 am, and will run until 4:30 pm. There is no charge to enter the park, and there will be a small price charged for some of the activities, such as the wagon rides.
Further information can be found on the museum's webpage.
