Now that summer is over, the thoughts of many are turning to the upcoming Halloween holiday. The day has become a celebration for those of all ages and a number of events have been organized to mark the occasion in Stoney Creek.
The Halloween Ho-Down takes place over two separate weekends. It will feature wine tastings, food sampling, a barbecue, and plenty of family-friendly activities. This will include train rides, a camp fire, wagon rides, a scavenger hunt, and the fun tent.
Another upcoming event is the Halloween Costume Ball for adults. It will feature prizes for the best costumes, a dessert buffet, and entertainment provided by Steve Santini.
The Haunted Hallowe'en Party is a fundraiser for the Bob Kemp Centre for Hospice Palliative Care. Guests at this event will be able to enjoy fine dining, a cash bar, a live DJ, and dancing.
These events will likely attract a number of Stoney Creek residents and local Print companies will have been asked to provide marketing materials.
The Halloween Ho-Down will take place at the Puddicombe Estate Farms and Winery on October 20-21 and again on 27-28 from 11:00am-4:00pm. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Call 905-643-1015 for more information.
The Halloween Costume Ball is being held at the Scottish Rite on October 26 from 7:30pm-1:00am; tickets are $40.
