Family events will dominate the August long weekend
The Stoney Creek area is hosting two family events over the next few days.
The first event is the Family Day Fun Fair. There will be lots of fun activities for the kids, including bouncy castles, a petting zoo, face painting, and pony rides. Several popular characters will show up and there will also be a magic show. Other activities taking place include a 50/50 draw, a silent auction, and a barbecue.
Next will be the two-day Ice Cream Carnival. Visitors can enjoy an Edwardian carnival with games and amusements. There will be a fortuneteller, horse and wagon rides, and musical entertainment. A demonstration will show how to make ice cream, with free samples for everyone. There will also be an ice cream and a food truck on site, or visitors can bring their own picnic.
