What's Happening in Stoney Creek, ON…

Date set for Stoney Creek Apple Festival

Apples have been grown in and around Stoney Creek for centuries, and this popular crop is set to take pride of place during a special event on the way for the community.

The annual Apple Festival will celebrate the harvest season next month with a full day of fun at Battlefield House Museum and Park National Historic Site. These locally grown fruits will be the stars of the show, and there will be lots to see and do.

The day will open with a pancake breakfast in the venue’s Pavilion, and the meal will be prepared and served by members of the Stoney Creek Lions Club. This will be followed by an assortment of harvest-themed activities, and there will also be demonstrations taking place. Everyone can enjoy the apple treats that will be available, and there will be a special area of fun just for the kids. The Battlefield Monument and Gate House will be open, weather permitting, and entry to the museum and park will be free of charge for the day.

Historic venues that host events can count on being able to order decorative materials from local banner printing companies.

The 2024 Apple Festival will run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 28th. The Hamilton Civic Museum’ website can be consulted for additional details.
