Classic cars will rock the Hamilton waterfront this summer

Rockin' the Waterfront Cruise Nights are to happen every Thursday night in Hamilton between now and September. The events give those who own classic cars the chance to show off their vehicles and allow motoring fans to get an up-close look.

Each week will have a different car theme and there will be raffles, door prizes, 50/50 draws, and food and ice cream for purchase. This time round, the event will celebrate four classic car types.

On July 4, the theme will be ‘Studebaker, Packard, Hudson, Nash/AMC’. It will also be Western Dress-Up Costume Night and will feature a country/western tribute. Also performing will be Sheri Gay and the All Western Line Dancing Team.

‘Mopar muscle mania’ is the theme for July 11 and the evening will feature a judged car show and a performance by Ronnie and the Rockets. July 18 will celebrate General Motors and recognize the 60th anniversary of the Corvette. Musical entertainment will be provided by Sonny Del Rio.

July 25's theme will be ‘Woodie wagons, convertibles, dune buggies’ and it will be Hawaiian costume night. The Beach Boys tribute band California Dreamin' will perform.

Car lovers from all over Hamilton and Stoney Creek will no doubt flock to these weekly events. Local printing companies most likely provide advertising materials to the organizers to help spread the word.

Rockin' the Waterfront Cruise Night happens at Pier 4 Park every Thursday until the end of September, with events kicking off at 5:30pm and finishing up around 9:00 PM. For more information, call 519-751-7681.
