What's Happening in Stoney Creek, ON…

City to celebrate activity-packed Canada Day

The city of Hamilton and its Stoney Creek community will be celebrating Canada Day with a number of activities and events.

The main celebration will take place at Bayfront and Pier 4 Parks, and is expected to feature food trucks, live entertainment, face painting, and balloon artists, among other activities. Visitors are encouraged to dress in red and white and to bring their own lawn chairs. Free shuttles will be available from John Street. The day will finish off with a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 10:00 pm.

Other events taking place in the city are set to include a weekend campout at Valens Conservation Area, sightseeing cruises along the Hamilton waterfront, a musical performance at Hendrie Park by The Slocan Ramblers, and a military tattoo at Dundurn Park.

Events taking place in the city should appeal to everyone, no matter what their ages or interests. Organizers of these goings-on will likely be advertising them widely throughout the Stoney Creek area. They may decide to use flyers and posters provided by local printing companies to help spread the word.

The Canada Day Celebration and Fireworks celebration is being held at Bayfront and Pier 4 Parks tomorrow evening from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with a rain date scheduled for this Wednesday. To find out more about the day's activities, call 905-546-2666.
