Family expo to return to Nepean
The Ottawa Parent & Child Expo will be back in Nepean this October, aiming to present an enjoyable weekend for the whole family.
The show will feature products and attractions aimed at a family audience. Children can meet life-sized versions of their favourite cartoon characters, princesses and superheroes in a special Meet & Greet Zone and wandering the show floor. Meet the Keepers will be giving a main stage animal presentation, with visitors able to get up close and personal with zoo animals afterwards.
Other attractions include on-stage storybook readings, a bounce slide and the Games4u Video Game Zone, all included with admission to the expo. Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Kanata will have a presentation on water safety. Events are designed to be affordable and give children a chance to get up, dance and generally be active. The festival is produced annually by local publication Parenting Times.
For parents, the expo will feature product vendors, expert guests and community organizations aiming to help with child-raising. Food and beverages will be provided by the Nepean Sportsplex services, and families can also bring their own. Exhibitors at festivals like this often offer sales or promotional products to help celebrate the occasion and make new connections.
