A recent event in Edmonton saw over 70,000 come out for an evening of chilly excitement.
The Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship invited people from all over the world to take part in the contest for the highest prize available in ice cross – a sport that sees participants racing around a narrow track on ice skates.
This was the first time that it was not held in the province of Quebec, and members of the crowd told Global Reporter Caley Ramsay they had a great time and hoped they will have an opportunity to watch it again next year.
If the city is selected again to host the championship, a printing company will be able to provide all the Banners and signage required, as well as any other printed materials.
City councillor Scott McKeen, who had come to see the races himself, noted that he was happy to witness such a large turnout, and that he felt the city had represented itself really well. He also remarked that it had given it a chance to show itself off to a wide, international audience.
The participants raced down a track at speeds of over 50kmph with the crowd cheering them on. That added to the overall high energy of the event. Though the weather had been unseasonably warm, it was not enough to stop the festivities.Get a Free Quote for Banners
