Womens business roles to be discussed in Melbourne this week

More than 300 women will converge on the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre tomorrow for the annual Women on PR Forum. The event will take place at the convention centre on the city's South Wharf.

The event is organised by the Public Relations Institute of Australia and an array of top speakers will be discussing the question of what women need to lead. This year's speakers include the editor of Marie Claire, Jackie Frank, Julie Zaetta, who is the editor of Better Homes and Gardens, Deputy Director of UN Women Australia Rebecca Bromhead and Carolyn Bendall, head of consumer marketing at ANZ.

As well as a mouth-watering two course lunch, guests will be given a complimentary gift bag and there will be great table prizes. A silent auction will also take place. The money raised from the event is being donated to UN Women Australia and also helps to fund the Merle Howard prize, which is a monetary prize awarded to a final year PR student at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

The get-together is a great networking opportunity for businesswomen from Tullamarine. Men are also welcome. Business card printing is the ideal way to pass on contact details, while brochure printers can help put together small leaflets to advertise a company.

The lunch takes place from 12:00 – 3:00pm and tickets are still available to those who’d like to attend. For more information, visit the Public Relations Institute website.
