Tullamarine to host surf and beer event

Victoria’s brewing festival, Good Beer Week, will this year extend to 10 days as it plays host to more than 200 events, including a combined surf and celebration in Tullamarine.

Founded in 2011, Good Beer Week was conceived as a platform for local brewers and beer businesses to reach a broad audience. Festival participants can learn about the craft and innovation of beer-making, in addition to sampling brews. The festival hosts the Australian International Beer Awards and has grown significantly from its original 50 event programme. Prior to last year’s virtual showcase, Good Beer Week was estimated to attract around 75,000 attendees from throughout Australia and offshore.

Urbnsurf, Australia’s first surf park, will play host to a unique festival event involving an hour of surfing followed by a pint of beer and beer-matched lunch. The event is to be offered by Bridge Road Brewers and Three Blue Ducks restaurant. Participants will have the option of beginner surfing in the lagoon or an intermediate experience at ‘The Point’ within the Tullamarine park. The experience is being billed by organisers as the “ultimate mix of waves, hydration and nourishment”. Unique events like this can present businesses with the opportunity to distribute themed Promotional Products.

Tickets to the Urbnsurf Melbourne Salt Brewing event are $135. The event will take place on 23 May from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
