A class will be run on the transporting of hazardous materials through the air in Tullamarine this December.
The Dangerous Goods By Air course will teach participants about the necessary procedures required to transport goods safely by air and in particular, will give students an understanding of how to apply the IATA Dangerous Good Regulations.
Students will be instructed about the legalities of all parties involved in the transport of dangerous goods, and the responsibilities of both shipper and operator. As well as this, attendees will be taught how to identify a dangerous item and recognise which goods are not allowed to be transported.
Safety standards will also be discussed as well as how to pack items and label goods correctly. Participants will be instructed how to fill in a shipper’s declaration and how to complete an airway bill, so that items may be easily tracked.
Handling, stowing and isolation of hazardous materials will also be discussed. Print shops are able to create any kind of Signs for identification or other purposes.
The class will run over three days, with an examination to be held at the end. Students will receive a CASA certificate upon satisfactory completion, which remains valid for two years.
The course will be held at the Marair Training Centre in Tullamarine on Tuesday, December 17th through to Thursday, December 19th from 8am until 4pm. The cost of the course is $528 per person.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Signs
