Rock fans from Tullamarine and other Melbourne suburbs will get a chance to see US legends Kings of Leon make a welcome return to Australia this year. Commenting on their upcoming visit in a statement, lead singer and guitarist Caleb Followill said:
“As a band, we feed off the energy our audiences bring and the last time we toured Australia the atmosphere was electric. We can’t wait to get back down there and perform for you all again!”
The tour marks the first time Kings of Leon have played Australia in more than a decade. The band have headlined some of the biggest festivals around the world, including Lollapalooza festivals in Berlin, Chicago and São Paulo. On Kings of Leon’s last international tour, they broke their personal attendance record when they played at London’s Hyde Park. Promoters and organisers of major music events sometimes use professional banner printing services for large-scale outdoor advertisements.
Along with new material from their new studio album When You See Yourself, the Grammy Award-winning artists will also be playing some tracks from their earlier recordings, which may include “King of the Rodeo”, “California Waiting” and “For Kicks”.
Kings of Leon will be on stage at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, based at Kings Domain Gardens on Linlithgow Avenue, on Saturday, April 2.
