Tullamarine area to welcome kids cooking program

Families in Tullamarine and the surrounding suburbs are invited to attend Cook and Connect Playgroup, a cooking workshop held in the area in July.

Hosted by Open Table, an organisation that provides free food to vulnerable individuals and families in Melbourne, this program offers young children, their parents and carers the opportunity to explore healthy food and easy cooking options through interactive activities.

During these weekly sessions, carers and children will learn about seasonal produce and healthy snacks and what’s involved in preparing them. They will also try their hand at making nutritious smoothies, will explore easy, healthy and tasty lunchbox options, and will sample international cuisines as a way to expand their cultural and community awareness.

Organisers of similar events can use flyer printing for effective, impactful promotion that attracts interest and caters to their target audience.

The Cook and Connect Playgroup will be held on Wednesdays 2, 23 and 30 July at the Glenroy Community Hub, 50 Wheatsheaf Rd, Glenroy VIC 3046. The program runs from 10:15 AM until 11:15AM, and attendees are asked to bring a grocery bag and a food container. The program is free, but bookings are essential and limited to one child and one guardian per booking. To book, visit the Food and Wine Events website.
