Nutrition education session offered to Tullamarine area

Tullamarine residents - as well as those from surrounding suburbs who are looking to learn more about nutrition and healthy eating – will soon have the chance to join an interactive workshop hosted by Hume City Council.

Facilitated by the team from The Water Well Project, the session is designed to educate participants and establish practical healthy eating habits that fit into their lifestyle and budget.

The hour-long session will explore the impact of diet, how to implement the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, how to read and interpret food labels and nutritional information, and the barriers to healthy eating that can impact the wider community.

The Water Well Project is a charity dedicated to improving health literacy. Partnering with community groups, local councils and other support organisations, The Water Well Project delivers interactive health education sessions tailored to the specific needs of the target community and is led by volunteer healthcare professionals across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

Organisations delivering community information sessions like this one may turn to brochure printing services to produce supplementary resources for participants, typically in the form of Flyers and pamphlets that re-iterate or build on the educational focus of the workshop.

The Healthy Eating and Nutrition Session will take place at the Valley Park Community Centre on Thursday, November 6, from 10 am to 11 am. The centre is located in Westmeadows, not far from Tullamarine.
