New initiative to help business grow and prosper

Businesses in the Brimbank Council area, including Tullamarine are being urged to sign up for a new initiative that aims to help them increase visibility and connect locally.

The Brimbank.Localised initiative has seen Council team up with Localised, an organisation which offers a business to business platform assisting business proprietors to build successful operations with the help of marketplace tools, business events and content marketing.

The local business social network also helps business owners to market themselves, find local providers and grow as a business with additional local revenue.

Georgina Papafotiou, the Mayor of Brimbank said the move to support businesses in the area was part of the local Response and Recovery Strategy in the rebuilding process that follows the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said that while buying and shopping locally is uppermost in people's minds, locating suppliers in the local area can be a challenge, which is where Localised can help as it simplifies the search for businesses, projects and events while also promoting individual businesses. She added:

"Localised provides a platform for business to upload their business details in the online business directory, upload stories and articles to the news feed, look for procurement opportunities in the marketplace and upload and find out about business events."

Such initiatives can complement a firm's established marketing strategies such as the use of Business Cards.

Access to local business networks and supply chains as well as ongoing exposure and promotion to businesses in the Brimbank area are provided to businesses that sign up to Brimbank.Localised.
