A Scottish-themed event is set to be held in Melbourne later this year, inviting those around the city to dress in their best tartan to attend.
The Melbourne Tartan Festival Gala Dinner & Concert 2022 is welcoming those from Tullamarine and other suburbs of the city with a fondness for Scottish food and music to participate. The event has a strict dress code, with choice of black tie and kilts for men and evening wear and tartan for ladies. After a two-year hiatus due to the government health and safety restrictions during the pandemic, this major Melbourne event is making a welcome return. Guests of the gala will enjoy a red-carpet entrance accompanied by the sound of pipers playing, with canapés and drinks served on arrival in the Main Hall.
The “Address to a Haggis” will take place, followed by a three-course gourmet dinner with a choice of soft or alcoholic beverages. There will also be entertainment from live acts, including Melbourne’s Scottish Fiddle Club and Highland Pipe Band and Celtic rock group Claymore.
