The Bulla Hill Railway, operated by the Tullamarine Live Steam Society, will start to take passengers next month.
Members of the public will be able to ride around the 1.5km railway track behind either a steam or diesel locomotive. The track is situated between Tullamarine and Sunbury, and the ride offers beautiful views of Mt Macedon. The journey will take around 10 minutes, and visitors will be able to use the barbecues and shelters provided at the railway. There is also a kiosk at the station, and a children’s playground nearby.
The Tullamarine Live Steam Society was established in 1974 as a community group for people with an interest in miniature locomotives and model engineering. The original railway track system was set up in Wright Street, Tullamarine, but after the lease on this site expired, the railway was moved to its current location in Bulla, and was officially opened in 2000. The organisation’s Logo Design depicts a stylised train engine.
The Bulla Hill Railway is located at 15 Green Street, Bulla, and will be open on Sunday the 15th of October from 12pm until 4pm. There is no cost to enter the railway, but tickets to ride the trains cost $5. As part of safety regulations, closed-in shoes must be worn when onboard. Rides are also subject to current fire restrictions.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
