Award-winner to give talk near Tullamarine

Residents of Tullamarine and surrounding suburbs will soon have an opportunity to hear a talk from an award-winning documentary-maker at a local venue.

Organisers Penleigh and Essendon Grammar often invite Australian speakers who are known for their creative, strategic and critical thinking to give talks that encourage students and the wider community, and they are extending their invitation for locals to join in a seminar led by Todd Sampson, called ‘Thinking’.

Sampson is a multi-award-winning documentary-maker, producer and TV presenter, and is widely recognised for his documentary ‘Body Hack’ along with ‘Redesign My Brain’, and as guest host on ‘The Project.’ Sampson is also a keen adventurer, and has completed an unguided ascent to the summit of Mount Everest.

Sampson is co-creator of the ‘Earth Hour’ initiative, which is one of the largest environmental movements in history. This started in 2007 when Sydney, Australia held the first ‘Lights-Off’ event. It has evolved into an annual movement that encourages individuals, communities and businesses to switch off all non-essential electricity for one hour between 8.30pm to 9.30pm as a commitment to the planet.

Seminars like this may benefit from flyer printing, which provides attendees with a simple yet informative tool that outlines the proceedings of the night, and highlights important information on the speaker or event.

Tickets to the 'Thinking' seminar can be purchased online. It will take place in the HR Stevens Music Auditorium of Penleigh and Essendon Grammar on Wednesday, 20 March at 7:00pm.
