Line dancing is a age-old tradition that has always been a fun community activity. The Victorian Line Dancing Association (VLDA) run events every year that are designed to give its members a chance to enjoy the spirit of line dancing, and coming up is the Victorian Line Dancing Association Gala Ball.
The event has a theme of “Black and Red” and it is set to start off with a workshop by Simon Ward, a line dancing instructor. There’s a soft-sole shoe policy, with strict rules that mean no hard soles, leather or resin is allowed. Topi soles or dance shoes are the recommended attire.
These types of gatherings are fantastic social events that draw in crowds from all around. The best way for them to advertise would be to engage in flyer printing and poster printing services. Also, as it is a social event, the members may want to do some business card printing to engage in some effective networking as they socialise.
The event is going to be held at Springers Leisure Centre, located at 400 Cheltenham road in Keysborough. It’s just south of Springvale, straight down Springvale road. It will run from 4:00 pm until midnight on the 30th of June 2012, with the Simon Ward Workshop (which will cost an additional $5) running from 4pm to 5pm. Tickets are $25 Adult, $15 Children (15 and under) and $20 for VLDA members.
In addition to the Annual Ball, the VLDA also holds a regular Line Dance Festival on Labour Day weekend and a Fundraiser dance on Good Friday, making an official contribution to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
