Star chef hosts master class at Dandenong Market
Masterchef contestant Jamie Ward will be holding a master class of his own at the Dandenong Market this month.
Cooking enthusiasts from Springvale, Victoria and throughout Greater Dandenong will be able to watch the popular chef at work in the last of his latest series of demonstrations held live at the market.
Ward went into the 2015 Masterchef television programme as a 30-year-old construction project manager with a passion to reinvent the sandwich and a goal to eventually start his own artisan sandwich business.
He stood out for his passionate approach to the use of spices in cooking, and came away with the nickname ‘The Spice Man’.
Market organisers said Ward’s cooking demonstrations showcase recipes that are both simple and seasonal, and he also introduces a spicy twist to make the everyday meal a little more special. No doubt it would look great on cooking brochures or cuisine themed calendars.
The chef’s Dandenong Market demonstrations have so far featured a ‘Beginner’s Guide to All Things Chicken’ and the ‘Perfect Christmas Turkey to Impress’.
His upcoming Dandenong Market appearance will feature a Back to Work theme, with Ward showing audiences how to create some of his mouthwatering sandwiches to take to work.
The series of cooking demonstrations began on December 6 and will end with the latest live session on January 10, between 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm.
