A community centre in Springvale has announced it will host a festive film night featuring a popular Christmas comedy later this year.
Fans of cinema in Springvale seeking a way to celebrate the season need look no further than their local library. This December, Springvale Library will host a special “Christmas Movie Night” as part of the “Libraries at Dusk” programme.
The library has selected the hilarious and heart-warming holiday comedy “Christmas with the Kranks” as its film of choice for the evening event.
From local civic centres like libraries to multiplex theatres, venues screening films often depend on poster printing services to produce engaging one-sheets that encourage cinephiles to attend.
Christmas with the Kranks was released in 2004 with Joe Roth in the director’s chair. The screenplay penned by Chris Columbus came from a John Grisham novel called “Skipping Christmas”.
The film has an all-star cast led by Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen as the Kranks. Dan Aykroyd, M. Emmet Walsh, Cheech Marin, Erik Per Sullivan and Jake Busey also feature.
Those attending the seasonal screening will find snacks supplied and a chance to browse the library’s stock of DVDs.
Christmas Movie Night will take place at the Springvale Library on Thursday, December 19. The event will run form 6.30 pm to 8 pm, and the library is located at 5 Hillcrest Grove in Springvale.
