An international trade exhibition focused on the world of plastic modelling is set to take place in Springvale later this year.
Arts and crafts fans from Springvale with an interest in plastic models and kits will soon be able to enjoy a three-day event dedicated to this niche industry. Dubbed the “Australian Model Expo”, the epic event has expanded over the years and now requires a venue of more than 2000 square metres to satisfy the number of attendees.
As a result, the latest edition of the expo will be held at the Sandown Entertainment Centre in Springvale. Organisers of major events like exhibitions, festivals and expos often count on experienced banner printing services to create attractive advertisements in all shapes and sizes that command attention.
In its early days, the event would feature between five to six traders, a few hobbyist clubs and displays of around 200 models. Now it attracts around 20 clubs, 30 vendors and showcases more than 2000 models, celebrating the very best products for the plastic scale modelling market.
Previous exhibitors at the world-class event have included Red Roo Models, Bold Frontiers, Wargame Miniatures, Hawkeye Models, Base 44 and Fold it Models.
The Australian Model Expo will take place at Ladbrokes Park Sandown Racecourse from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18. The event venue can be found at 591 to 659 Princes Highway in Springvale.
