Indigenous singer-songwriter and ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Archibald “Archie” Roach is set to bring his latest concert tour to the people of Springvale and neighbouring Dandenong suburbs early next month.
Having toured the globe and performed alongside world-renowned artists such as Bob Dylan, Billy Bragg and Tracey Chapman, Roach will be bringing his own unique musical stylings to The Drum Theatre in May. Concerts and events such as this can benefit from poster printing and graphic design to assist in advertising.
Roach’s latest album, the 2020 National Indigenous Music Award winning “Tell Me Why”, is a companion to his recent memoir of the same name, in which the musician provides an intimate accounting of his life’s journey, resilience and strength of spirit in his trek to becoming an internationally acclaimed musician and respected First Nations advocate.
Performing since the 1980s, Roach recorded his first solo album “Charcoal Lane” in 1990 with the support of fellow musician Paul Kelly. Roach’s debut would later become gold-certified and win him his first two ARIA awards in 1991.
Roach’s concert is expected to bring together re-imaginings of the classic songs that have defined his impressive career, along with some new material also featured on the album.
Archie Roach’s “Tell Me Why” tour is scheduled for an 8pm start on Friday, May 7th at The Drum Theatre.
