Springvale area to welcome K-Pop

A popular pop band from South Korea will soon be playing live in Melbourne as part of their upcoming tour of Australia.

Fans of K-Pop from Springvale and other suburbs will soon get a chance to see smash-hit girl group Twice when they play the Rod Laver Arena in May. The show will follow another epic concert at Sydney’s Qudos Bank and allow music lovers from all over the city to hear them play hits like “Talk that Talk” and “Moonlight Sunrise.”

K-Pop is a type of popular music that originated as part the culture of South Korea. The term K-Pop first became popular internationally at the start of the millennium.

A nine-piece girl group created by JYP Entertainment, Twice consists of Nayeon, Momo, Jeongyeon, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Jihyo, and Tzuyu and Chaeyoung. With over 12 million fans listing monthly on Spotify, the group are now a global success.

Twice will now be on stage at the Rod Laver Arena located at Olympic Boulevard in Melbourne on Saturday, May 6.
