Residents invited to join free regular keep fit classes

Springvale, Victoria residents are being offered an opportunity to take part in a free summer fitness programme.

The Greater Dandenong Council has invited all residents to take advantage of the Spring into Summer initiative which will provide 12 different recreational and sporting activities across the municipality.

A Council spokesperson said the programme was an ideal opportunity for everyone to take advantage of the city’s great indoor venues and outdoor spaces while taking positive steps towards achieving improved fitness and health.

All ages, fitness levels and abilities will be catered for in the programmes, which will be conducted by qualified instructors.

The sessions featured by brochure printers for the programme include everything from cardio tennis and boxing, to tai chi and yoga.

The wide range of activities available includes specific classes that are designed especially for babies, parents and teens such as Mums and Bubs and Teen fitness.

Participants will also be able to select from Sequence dancing, Functional fitness, Zumba, AFL active, Body balance/Pilates and Boot Camp.

All activities in the Spring into Summer programme are free and are held on the same place, day and time weekly but all those keen to join in the fun are required to register online.
