Mulgrave to celebrate local artistic talent
The Monash Affordable Art Exhibition (MAAE) will return for its second year, following the success of its 2024 debut.
Hosted by the Monash Community Arts Society (MONCAS), the exhibition aims to celebrate artists from all disciplines, backgrounds and levels of experience, and create a supportive, professional environment to showcase their work.
Servicing Mulgrave and the wider Monash community, MONCAS was established in 2018 as an independent community organisation dedicated to empowering local artists, providing them with opportunities to exhibit their art, building strong networks between local artists and ensuring the future of community arts within the area.
The MAAE will now see dozens of artists come together to display a wide range of artworks, with all works sporting an affordable price tag of under $300. Artists will have the chance to connect with potential customers, collectors and other artists in the community, as well as having the opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their talent through the event’s $1,000 prize pool.
