A premier events venue is Melbourne will soon present a musical duo known for their modern acoustic style.
Residents of Springvale who enjoy unplugged music can soon enjoy a pair of acoustic masters at work. The Hamer Hall arts centre is nearby Melbourne has announced it will host intimate shows featuring Grammy Award-winning duo Gillian Welch and David Rawlings this summer.

With careers that span more than a quarter of a decade, Welch and Rawlings are classed as masters of the American folk music genre. The upcoming performances in Melbourne will see them showcase their recently released masterpiece called “Woodland”. The recording has been much anticipated by fans and critics alike as it is the duo’s first LP together for 13 years.
Welch moved to Nashville in the early 90s and entered the mainstream when country icon Emmylou Harris a covered her song “Orphan Girl”. Going from strength to strength she released her debut album in 1996 called “Revival”.
An Evening with Gillian Welch and David Rawlings will now be at Hamer Hall from January 28 to February 2. Tickets are available priced between $139 and $169, and the venue is situated at 110 St Kilda Road in Melbourne.
