The township of Aura is set to become even greener next year, as construction gets underway on one of the most anticipated community projects in the fast-growing region - the Aura Parklands.
This is expected to support the future Aura Retail Town Centre. The new project promises to be an expansive new public green space that will include a large swimming lagoon as its centrepiece.
As part of Aura’s next development phase, the project is being regarded as a major milestone for the community. Over the past few years, the town has expanded rapidly and is now looking to more recreational infrastructure to match its population growth.
The parklands will cover more than 5.3 hectares, and will introduce the region’s largest integrated recreation zone, catering for everyone in the community. This will include the combination of open lawns, native forest pockets, walking and cycling trails, BBQ and picnic terraces and approximately 2,100 square metres of water surface area for a saltwater lagoon designed for year-round swimming.
The lagoon in particular will feature beaches, lifeguard-patrolled swim zones, children’s splash areas and a boardwalk loop lined with native vegetation. Organisers of developments like this one could use poster printing to display visually striking Posters on community notice boards, helping to spread the word.
