A live music venue based just a short drive away from Aura is inviting a band branded as alt-funk pioneers to its stage this year.
Music fans in Aura will get an opportunity to witness Australian band Skunkhour in concert this spring. Seamlessly blending funk, soul and rock, the group will be visiting nearby Caloundra West to play live as part of their latest tour titled “Back to Basics”.

The band are undertaking a run of performances throughout southeast Australia after enjoying significant success in Sydney. Skunkhour played a sold-out show at the NSW capital’s celebrated Mannings Bar where they entertained a crowd of a thousand.
Original members of Skunkhour Aya and Del Larkin will be joined on stage by guitarist Warwick Scott and bassist Dean Sutherland. Those coming down to the gig can expect to hear a slice of their renowned and innovative repertoire performed with compelling riffs, infectious rhythms and unique vocals.
Skunkhour will now take over the stage of Norton Music Factory on Friday, October 16. The venue is situated at 13 Bronwyn Street in Caloundra West a short distance away via Aura Boulevard and Baringa Drive. The concert will kick off at 8 pm.
