Hundreds of athletes from across Queensland and wider Australia are set to storm some nearby iconic beaches, as Australia’s second largest triathlon returns for 2025.
Featuring 4 races taking place over two days, the Mooloolaba Tri, located not far from Aura, will be offering a number of participation options for those aged 15 and up.
The event opens on a Saturday, with the half-distance sprint triathlon, before the standard distance individual, team and Aquabike races on Sunday. Presentation ceremonies will take place after the completion of the races, at 11 am on the Saturday and 1 pm on the Sunday.
During this time, participants, supporters and the general public will have access to the Mooloolaba Sport and Lifestyle Expo, a 2-day expo showcasing the latest innovations in athletic tech, products and nutrition. The Expo will also host the triathlon check-in and merchandise store.
Athletes will be able to check in and pick up their race number and timing device from Friday, along with their athlete gift, including a towel, visor or cap, and bag. Those who took advantage of early ticket sales will also be able to pick up their personalised race bib and a pre-ordered personalised T-shirt.
