An American country band renowned for being musical innovators will soon perform for Sydney audiences.
Fans of inspirational and iconic country music in Caringbah and other suburbs of Sydney can catch The Chicks in Concert when they storm the stage of Qudos Bank Arena this October. Formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, The Chicks are a US country band hailing from Dallas, Texas. The band began in 1995 and toured small venues and festival circuits first before attracting a major deal in 97 with Monument Records Nashville.
The group enjoyed major success with the labels through albums like “Wide Open Spaces” and “Fly” but moved to Columbia Records in 2002 to release the album “Home”. The three records went multi-platinum in Australia, as well as in Canada and the US, generating hit singles like "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "There's Your Trouble".
In 2020, the band released a new album after a 14-year hiatus. Dubbed “Gaslighter”, it included a single of the same name.
