Business owners from Caringbah can learn more about running a successful enterprise from a member of the team behind the Sydney Swans this month.
Dennis Carroll is now the general manager of the Sydney Swans Academy, after having made his name as a Swans player in the 1980s.
As a player, Dennis acted as captain for a number of years and was also named in the Swans team of the century. He also represented New South Wales in the State of Origin, and the most improved player award at the Swans is named in his honour.
At the next business breakfast organised by the Miranda and District Chamber of Commerce, Dennis will be talking about the Swans and the AFL from a business perspective, and explaining what happens behind the scenes rather than talking about what takes place on the field.
He will also draw on his 20 years’ experience as a manager in the automotive industry.
Breakfasts such as these usually attract a wide range of local entrepreneurs, so participants might like to think about making an order for business card printing beforehand, in order to present a professional image when they attend the event.
The breakfast takes place on Wednesday, June 24th at 7.30am. It will be hosted at the Caringbah YMCA in Jacaranda Road. To book a place, contact the Chamber of Commerce.
