Caringbah residents can enjoy a great night out while raising money for a good cause next month, at the annual Sutherland Shire Mayoral Debutante Charity Ball.
The event supports a local charity each year and, in 2015, the chosen group is Headspace Miranda, which helps young people who are going through difficult times or need someone outside their family to talk to.
The ball is an opportunity to dress up and go out with friends, or for company bosses to treat their staff to a night out. To mark the occasion, a group photo could be taken and reproduced by a printing company to provide each partygoer with a memento of the evening.
This year’s theme is the Edwardian era, and guests could even dress up in period clothing if they wish. The first part of the ball will be traditional and will feature local youngsters who have rehearsed as debutants, while the second half will be more relaxed.
Music will be provided by the Australian Army Band Sydney, who will perform a mixture of rock and roll and big band tunes.
The ball takes place on Saturday, June 13th at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre. Tickets to the event are on sale now and can be purchased at the council’s administration centre in Sutherland, or by post by downloading the order form from the council’s website.
