The summit is making a welcome return, initiated by Sutherland Council, to help boost the local economy following the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Mayor of Sutherland Shire, Carmelo Pesce.
Pesce said the summit provides an opportunity for business leaders in the area to meet and reflect on the hardships and challenges endured, and the way in which small business has rallied to overcome adversity. He added:
“We get such an extraordinary response to this event each time we run it, with participants always keen to let us know how much they have valued the insights offered by our guest speakers and how this has helped inspire them to drive their businesses forward.”
Pesce said there were more than 22,000 businesses registered within the Shire, with the majority of them being small or medium-sized.
The summit, which could provide a great opportunity for local proprietors to network and exchange Business Cards, will include several guest speakers, including marketing and business podcaster Tim Reid, author and business strategist Michael McQueen and Business Grit Principal and Director Nic Sullivan.
The event will be held at Sylvania Water's Doltone House from 8am to 12.30pm on 15 March. Business owners wishing to attend can register on the Sutherland Shire website.
