A Caringbah venue will soon welcome a singer-songwriter from Uruguay to its stage.
Fans of world music in Caringbah can see the indie-folk singer, Felipe Baldomir, in concert this winter.
June will see the South American musician play a live set at a local venue, where he will share his unique songbook with Australian audiences.
Baldomir released his first studio album in 2017, dubbed “Nature Speaks”. Since then, he has toured his home continent performing at recitals and festivals in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and his birthplace, Uruguay.
Organisers of outdoor events like music festivals sometimes reach out to banner printing services to create colourful signage that calls out to sponsors.
In 2018, the alternative folk performer arrived in Sydney and converted a van into both his home and studio. Completely mobile, he began touring Australia, appearing at popular venues like Solbar in the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta. He also played the popular Falls Festival in 2019 while working on his sophomore album, “Only Light”.
Today, Baldomir has settled in Byron Bay, and is embarking on a tour of Queensland and New South Wales this year to promote his latest work.
Felipe Baldomir will now play live at Huxley’s in Caringbah on Sunday, June 16. The venue can be found at 32 Banksia Road, and the gig will begin at 7pm.
