Social media advice on offer for small businesses

Small business owners in Caringbah can learn how to boost their online presence at a special social media workshop being held next

month.

The use of social networks is now seen as an important part of any marketing campaign, but it can be difficult to find enough time to devote to such activity other business needs, especially for companies with few employees.

The workshop, organised by the Southern Sydney Business Enterprise Centre based in nearby Kirrawee, will offer tips and resources to help small business owners get their social media campaign off the ground, and to maintain it over the coming months.

The seminar will be run by Karen Moloney, head of training company The eLearning eXperts, which helps businesses create online training courses for employees. Moloney has a particular interest in digital marketing, and networks such as LinkedIn.

During the event, she will cover how to develop a plan for strategic social media use and some of the best tools to make the process easier.

The workshop will include practical examples, and participants will need a laptop and have an account set up on at least one the major social networks. Attendees might also like to think about creating digital Business Cards.

The workshop takes place on Thursday 8th May. For more details, visit the Centre’s website.
