Business professionals from Caringbah looking to kick-start or improve their online presence in 2014 should think about booking a place at this month's marketing workshop, run by the Southern Sydney Business Enterprise Centre.
The workshop will cover aspects of digital marketing and offer advice on how to build a website that can easily be found by search engines and internet users. It includes lessons on how to conduct research to find the right keywords for a specific product or service, and how to develop a website that can be easily navigated by both real life users and search engine robots. Other topics include how to use content such as blogs to promote a business and creating links to other relevant websites.
The event will be run by marketing specialist Peter Polesel, who has worked for a number of leading companies including Pink Pages and AMP and now runs his own marketing consultancy through which he concentrates on working with small and medium-size businesses to improve their marketing strategies.
With the focus on internet marketing, participants might like to think about developing digital Business Cards, which can provide details of online profiles and even link directly to a website, to act as a companion to traditional printed Business Cards.
The workshop takes place on Tuesday, January 21 at the centre's offices in Kirrawee, and starts at 9.30 am.
