The Dandelion Support Network is inviting people for a high tea while contributing towards its work supporting struggling families in the community.
As well as the traditional high tea goodies, the afternoon will include a silent auction, giveaways and more. Dandelion Support Network Inc. collects new and preloved nursery furniture and baby items to be donated to families in need.
Volunteers clean, sort and check all items to make sure that they comply with safety standards, then make up packages of items ready for families referred through local agencies such as St Vincent de Paul or council family support services.
Organisations such as this often use brochure printing to let people know about their work, their needs and the support that they offer.
A list of items that can and can’t be accepted is available on the company’s website and there will be a donation day on Saturday 3rd August when items can be dropped off from 9:30am until midday at its premises at 186 Willarong Rd, Caringbah. During school terms, donations can be dropped off on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30pm till 2:30pm.
The high tea event will be held on Sunday 11th August from 1pm to 4pm at the Tradies in Gymea. Tickets cost $65 per person or $620 for a table of ten and can be purchased online.
