Business leaders from Caringbah have the chance to learn more about what Sutherland Shire Council has in mind for the future of the area at a business breakfast this month.
Last year, the New South Wales Government asked local councils to show they were ‘Fit for the Future’ and the Sutherland Shire Council was among those deemed to have passed the assessment.
Now, the Miranda and Districts Chamber of Commerce, which covers Caringbah and surrounding suburbs, has invited a panel of councillors and council staff to discuss the Shire’s future and how businesses can help.
The panel includes Sutherland Shire Mayor Carmelo Pesce, General Manager Scott Phillips and the council’s Economic Development Manager Rebecca Wood.
Guests will have the chance to hear from the speakers and ask questions of the panel, and might also like to take along digital Business Cards as the event will also be a chance to make local contacts.
There will also be an update on the work being done to create a combined business chamber for the whole Sutherland Shire to create a stronger network, and enable the business sector to have a better voice in decision making in the future.
The meeting will be held on Friday, February 26 at the Sharks League Club in Cronulla. Places are open to Chamber members and guests and must be reserved through the Chamber of Commerce.
