Business group ShireWomen has invited Clementine Ford to be this year’s keynote speaker at the International Women’s Day event to be held in Caringbah in early March.
Ford is an award-winning writer and a public speaker. She hit mainstream popularity after some of her more personal articles about pro-choice, domestic violence and modern masculinity incited passionate online debate.
Each year, International Women’s Day (IWD) explores one theme and provides the opportunity to discuss progress made from the year before. This year’s theme is ‘Each for Equal’. Last year’s theme was ‘Balance for Better’. Ford’s keynote speech will highlight positive developments that have occurred and those that are yet to happen.
ShireWomen is the largest business and networking event in the Sutherland Shire. Networking and the exchange of Business Cards at this year’s IWD is welcome and encouraged. ShireWomen expects a large turnout to the event and has booked out the entire top floor of the Highfield in Caringbah, which has a 200-plus seating capacity.

Bookings are essential for the event, tickets cost $145 and this includes general admission, a premium sit-down lunch, cocktails and drinks, and a giftbag.
