Caringbah workshop to teach about footcare

Massage and Movement are running monthly workshops in Caringbah to teach people how to strengthen and take care of their feet.

Feet are the foundations for the posture and by taking care of them, people can avoid many problems that can affect the rest of the body. Strong healthy feet enable people to stand, balance and move correctly.

The workshops are suitable for people with or without foot problems, as it is better to take action to avoid problems than to correct them once they have arisen. Participants will learn what causes pain and how it occurs, how to build up strength and mobility in the feet and understand the impact of foot problems on other joints such as the knees and hips.

By strengthening the feet and correcting problems, it is possible halt damage to other joints, improve walking ability and improve running by increasing the strength of the stride. The exercises that participants will learn can be easily fitted into anyone’s daily routine.

To help people remember the topics discussed, workshops such as this often use poster printing services to create useful reminders.

The workshops will be held on the third Saturday of the month from 3pm to 4.30pm at Massage and Movement, 21E/1-3 Endeavour Rd, Caringbah, NSW. The cost of the workshop is $40. Bookings are essential and payment must be made at the time of booking.
