Caringbah to host youth yoga instruction course

Little Yogi is offering a weekend course for anyone interested in teaching yoga to children.

Attendees will learn how to create engaging, original and fun yoga classes, which include laughter, play, dancing and singing, for children of all ages.

Subjects covered will include poses and breathing exercises appropriate for different age groups, different teaching techniques for different age groups, lesson plans and class structure and how to make yoga fun for all ages. The benefits of mindfulness, relaxation techniques for children and teenagers, yoga for all the family from children to grandparents will also be explained.

The course will be suitable for parents, grandparents and guardians as well as childcare workers, early childhood educators, teachers and yoga teachers. Organisers of such courses often use flyer printing to let people know of upcoming events.

Course teacher Ying Bean is a qualified yoga teacher, who for the last five years has concentrated on teaching yoga to children. She has worked in the early childhood industry for nearly 10 years and is the mother of two boys. Her aim is to help children gain mental and physical clarity through the practice of yoga by incorporating yoga into their lives.

The course will be held at In Balance Wellness Studio, located at 30 Northumberland Road in Caringbah, on 19th and 20th October, from 10:30am to 3:30pm. The cost of the course is $350 per person.
