The Fall Church community has a unique way of gathering throughout the summer months with this regional favorite movie night.
Cherry Hill Park's central location within the city and vast amenities make it a local favorite for hosting public and private events, including the annual Sunset Cinema Series.
For 22 years, the annual Sunset Cinema Series has brought together the Cherry Hill community on the third Friday to enjoy different movies and reconnect throughout the late summer and early fall months. Movie goers are encouraged to come prepared to enjoy the movie outside and bring bug spray, picnics, and blankets. There will also be a variety of drinks and snacks, including popcorn, available for purchase. Each movie night has different local vendors and sponsors. Local business vendors are able to host giveaways at the movie night or provide information about their business, and food vendors offering ready-to-eat snacks and meals.
The 2025 Sunset Cinema is funded based on local sponsors, many of whom will be showcased in Print materials used at the event, such as banner printing to help direct people to the event or to showcase the movie night's sponsors.
The 2025 Sunset Cinema series will run from August to October; exact start times and movies can be found on the City of Falls Church website. The movies will take place at Cherry Hill Park, near the barn and playground; the park can be found at 312 Park Avenue, Falls Church.
