Falls Church announces intimate evening of folk music

A well-known folk music duo will soon be performing for Falls Church residents. As this is a smaller event, audiences can enjoy a relaxed evening, and become fully immersed in the songs themselves.

Early next month, Falls Church will be hosting Michelle Swan and Pet Names. Both of these musicians have become familiar to fans across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. While their songs are generally associated with the folk genre, critics have noted additional elements like classic rock, pop, funk, and jazz undertones within their work.

Both performers learned guitar at an early age, and they were heavily influenced by the punk rock subculture attributed to the 1980s. Although each is known for their solo performances, the fact that they will be taking to the stage as a duet should provide a unique experience to listeners.

Concerts targeting a relatively small audience will tend to leverage cost-effective marketing strategies still capable of connecting with the appropriate crowd. Proven methods include brochure printing, placing Posters in local restaurants, and making sure that standalone websites are updated.

Michelle Swan and Pet Names will be visiting Falls Church on Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 PM. This concert is being hosted by Claire & Don's Beach Shack located at 130 North Washington Street. Tickets are currently on sale for $15 per person.
