Falls Church festival celebrates 43rd anniversary

Falls Church locals can celebrate Memorial Day at the city’s annual festival.

The Memorial Day Parade and Festival has occurred in Falls Church for over 40 years and will return for its 43rd year.

The festival has a full day planned for event attendees, starting with a 3K fun run at 9 am for those who want to be a bit more active, or visitors can watch the live bands throughout the day, including the Charles Parker Band. There will also be pony and amusement rides for children at Cherry Hill Park, running all day. For those who want to explore the history of Fall Church, there will be tours of the Cherry Hill Farmhouse, which is 164 years old. Attendees who want to shop can visit the vendor market with different arts and crafts, food, and local business booths. At 11 am, there will also be a Veterans Ceremony at the Community Center. At 2 pm there will also be a parade which will feature a variety of local businesses and groups competing for different prizes such as best vehicle or walking group. The parade will also feature dance troupes and clowns.

Festivals will have fully packed schedules, which occur in different locations, and often utilize tools like brochure printing to provide event attendees with a schedule and information on where different activities occur.

The Memorial Day Parade & Festival will occur on May 26, 2025, on the City Hall Grounds, which is located at 300 Park Ave., Falls Church, VA 22046. Additional information can be found on the City of Falls Church website.
