Warwick workshop to highlight importance of cybersecurity

Warwick business people who would like to learn what they can do to keep hackers at bay are welcome to take a seat for a lunch and learn set to be hosted by the Central RI Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will be offering a lunchtime workshop that will provide an introduction to hacking and the impact it can have on a business. The presentation will address the topic from the eyes of a hacker, and the participants will learn how much risk can be incurred should their data be breached.

Members of the public who would like to become better informed when it comes to the growing issue of cybersecurity are encouraged to register now for this event, and are welcome to bring along their lunch to enjoy while they learn. The facilitator for the activity will be Gary Harlam, who serves as the president of the Technology Advisory Group, and there is no charge to register.

Sitting in on this sort of learning session can give a business an easy way to help shore up its cybersecurity. There may not be enough time to cover all the information, and offering the attendees learning materials such as Booklets from a brochure printing company can aid in ensuring they will be able to gather as much information as they can.

The Central RI Chamber of Commerce has made arrangements to host this lunch and learn on February 4. The venue for the function can be found at 3288 Post Rd.
