Warwick women invited to learn the power of public speaking
Speaking in public is a top fear for many, and women who would like to learn how to become more confident when dealing with others may wish to save the date for an upcoming Warwick area event.
Communicating Assertively and Effectively is a daylong learning opportunity that will address areas the organizers note can sometimes be difficult for women in the workplace. They will be sharing ideas and tips about how to communicate assertively and with confidence, and how to take charge of their fear about speaking in public.
They will also equip the attendees with skills they can use to navigate through difficult conversations, and also how to make sure their voice is heard if they are in a male-dominated environment.
The training will be facilitated by both Donna Mac and Robin Golinski, who are experienced in the field of corporate communications training. The ticket price will be $395 each, which includes lunch from Bamboo Restaurant. The afternoon portion of the day will include input from Jeffery Deckman and Dennis Becker, who are both male colleagues of the facilitators and will be sharing their male point of view. A print company will be able to supply any handouts and other materials that may be required for a learning event such as this.
November 4 has been selected as the date for this function, which will be held at the Hilton Gardens Inn in Providence. More information about the training can be found on its event listing.
