As another holiday season approaches, many Warwick residents will find themselves on the hunt for the perfect gift, and thanks to an upcoming event, they may just be able to get all their shopping done under one roof.
The Rhode Island Christmas Festival is right around the corner, and just as in years past, it promises to be fun for everyone. As well as an opportunity to buy from more than 100 vendors, there will be other entertainment, and even Santa has decided to stop by.
The younger guests can enjoy meeting Mr. Claus, and balloon artists, face painting, and a pageant are all in the works for the weekend. An ugly Christmas sweater contest will give the attendees an excuse to get creative, and a prize will be awarded to the individual sporting the most hideous holiday attire. Both admission and parking are free, and all are welcome.
The planners of the occasion pointed out that sashes, ornaments, and other prizes will be distributed to the participants in the Little Ms. and Little Mr. Christmas Pageant, and each boy or girl will also receive a special token to thank them for taking part.
